Long Chat for ChatGPT is designed to help users navigate, search, bookmark, manage, and export long ChatGPT conversations.
Conversation content
Long Chat may read conversation content that is already displayed on ChatGPT pages so features such as navigation, search, bookmarks, and user-requested TXT, Markdown, and PDF exports can work. This processing happens locally in the browser. Long Chat does not send conversation content to a developer server.
Local browser storage
Long Chat uses Chrome browser storage to save extension settings, bookmarks, language and popup preferences, performance settings, and the local message activity counter so these features can persist between sessions.
Website access
Long Chat accesses https://chatgpt.com/* only to provide its user-facing features on ChatGPT pages.
Data sharing and selling
Long Chat does not sell user data. Long Chat does not transfer user data to third parties for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness, lending, or unrelated purposes.
Remote code
Long Chat does not execute remotely hosted JavaScript or other remote executable code.
Feedback and support
When you choose Send feedback, Long Chat opens a Microsoft Forms page in a new browser tab. Any feedback is submitted directly through Microsoft Forms. Long Chat does not automatically include or send your ChatGPT conversation content. Users are not required by Long Chat to provide an email address.
Feedback submitted through the form is intended for private developer review and is not published by Long Chat.
Voluntary developer support
When you choose Support Developer, Long Chat opens a PayPal payment page in a new browser tab. PayPal handles the payment process.
Long Chat does not collect, store, or process card numbers, bank details, PayPal login information, or other payment credentials.
Developer support is completely optional. Supporting the developer does not unlock features, change access, remove limits, or provide additional functionality. All Long Chat features remain free.
