SnapCorrect Translate is a browser extension designed to help users work with content on webpages through a compact toolbar. Features include correction, translation, text-to-speech, capture, OCR, export, PDF tools, page appearance controls, and screen recording.

1. Website content

SnapCorrect may access and process content from the webpage the user is actively working with when the user chooses a SnapCorrect feature.

This may include webpage text, images, and other visible page content needed to perform actions such as:

• correcting text;
• translating webpage content;
• reading selected text aloud;
• capturing part or all of a webpage;
• extracting text using OCR;
• creating PDF, TXT, Markdown, JSON, PNG, or JPEG exports;
• applying page appearance tools; and
• performing user-requested screen recording.

SnapCorrect does not use webpage access to build browsing profiles or monitor users' browsing activity.

2. Local processing and storage

Whenever possible, SnapCorrect processes information directly in the user's browser.

SnapCorrect uses Chrome extension storage to remember settings and preferences such as interface language, zoom level, page-theme preferences, recorder options, and other extension settings.

These settings are stored locally in the browser and are not used for advertising or profiling.

3. Translation and voice services

When a user explicitly chooses a feature that requires an external translation or voice service, only the content necessary to perform that requested feature may be transmitted to the relevant external service.

SnapCorrect does not send webpage content to external services unless the user activates a feature that requires that service.
